Hello everyone, welcome to Inspired To Greatness… Today we have a great show all about Time Management, and we are joined by wonderful folks, Dana and David Hagstrom. They tell us their story and we chat about how they are helping online businesses, how to plan for retirement, and what a spider taco might be like!
If you want to make good use of your time, you’ve got to know what’s most important and then give it all you’ve got. Lee Iacocca Time is money. Benjamin Franklin -It’s interesting to me that I’ve used this quote so often, as millions of other people do, I’m sure, and never knew it was a Benjamin Franklin quote. And I also thought about how Time is like money as I was show prepping… what’s interesting to me is not the ways that time is LIKE money (you can spend it or trade it)… but the main difference. Money you can lose or gain… I can always go out and make more money; but time… once it’s gone, it’s gone. And we spend so much time chasing money, that I think people really have lost the value of time.

If you don’t know how valuable time is you will waste it; and if you don’t have a set of priorities you won’t know how to spend the time you have. We are only given a finite amount of time in this life. You get to decide, for the most part, how you spend that time. Each day you decide what you are trading that time for… and when that day is over it’s gone, all the only thing left in it’s place is what you traded that day for. Make sure you trade your days for something worthwhile. Thanks for joining us on Inspired to Greatness, please check back with us each and every week for fresh tips and new guests. Hey Everyone, I am VERY excited about this episode; which is the start of a 6 episode series. But FIRST: I want to apologize for a few little audio issues in the show, we are recording remotely, due to Covid-19, and the internet was not holding up its end of things today... it's not much, and it's only a few little spots, but I do apologize for the issues.
Emotional Intelligence: the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. According to Daniel Goleman , an American psychologist who helped to popularize emotional intelligence, there are five key elements to it: * Self-awareness. * Self-regulation. * Motivation. * Empathy. * Social skills. In this episode we will take a look at emotional intelligence overall... on the next 5 shows, we will discuss each of the 5 elements of Emotional Intelligence! “Use pain as a stepping stone, not a campground.” —- Alan Cohen “Whatever is begun in anger, ends in shame.” —- Benjamin Franklin “We are dangerous when we are not conscious of our responsibility for how we behave, think, and feel.” -— Marshall B. But the functions of intellect are insufficient without courage, love, friendship, compassion, and empathy.” -Dean Koontz A leader is a dealer in hope. -Napoleon Bonaparte Emotional intelligence trumps IQ all the time... you can learn skills and learn how to use tools... but it’s vastly more difficult to learn how to not be a jerk. In decades past it was the alpha male, they type a personality, the ultra-aggressive people that were successful... that’s just how it was, but in today’s society, having empathy, caring about others and their well being is what wins.
