Hello everyone, welcome to Inspired To Greatness… Today we are talking about POSITIVE THINKING and MINDSET! Having a positive mindset is one of the best things you can do to ensure your success and, more importantly, your level of happiness and contentment with your life.
“A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart.” –Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.” ― Roy T. Bennett “Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.” – Willie Nelson Business Tip: Create a positive work environment… turn off the news, stay off Facebook, turn on some good, high energy, uplifting music, create a gratitude journal… actually write down the good from each day! Be around positive and uplifting people, smile, and spread some happiness. It will keep the space around you positive and full of good energy. ---- Book to Read: How to Stop Worrying and Start Living - Dale Carnegie Tool to Try: Headspace - https://www.headspace.com/headspace-meditation-app Headspace was developed by a British man named Andy Puddicombe, a former Buddhist monk who left the Himalayan monastery where he was ordained, to study with the Moscow State Circus, before returning to London to finish his degree in Circus Arts at the comparatively mundane sounding Conservatoire of Dance and Drama. Yes, that’s all true. During that time, he had the idea to take his mindfulness training and figure out how to secularize it and make it accessible to people like me and you. ----- This episode is powered by PodDecks - Pod Decks are unique interview questions and episode starting prompts in the palm of your hand. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar “Happiness, like unhappiness, is a proactive choice.” – Stephen Covey You can let life happen to you, or you have live your life. Life and specifically success is all about mindset. Those with a positive mindset, focusing on the positive, will see difficult situations in a better light. A challenge can be an opportunity to grow, a loss can be a lesson on how to win… it’s ALL. ABOUT. MINDSET. Hello everyone, welcome to Inspired To Greatness… Today we have a great show all about Time Management, and we are joined by wonderful folks, Dana and David Hagstrom. They tell us their story and we chat about how they are helping online businesses, how to plan for retirement, and what a spider taco might be like!
If you want to make good use of your time, you’ve got to know what’s most important and then give it all you’ve got. Lee Iacocca Time is money. Benjamin Franklin -It’s interesting to me that I’ve used this quote so often, as millions of other people do, I’m sure, and never knew it was a Benjamin Franklin quote. And I also thought about how Time is like money as I was show prepping… what’s interesting to me is not the ways that time is LIKE money (you can spend it or trade it)… but the main difference. Money you can lose or gain… I can always go out and make more money; but time… once it’s gone, it’s gone. And we spend so much time chasing money, that I think people really have lost the value of time.

If you don’t know how valuable time is you will waste it; and if you don’t have a set of priorities you won’t know how to spend the time you have. We are only given a finite amount of time in this life. You get to decide, for the most part, how you spend that time. Each day you decide what you are trading that time for… and when that day is over it’s gone, all the only thing left in it’s place is what you traded that day for. Make sure you trade your days for something worthwhile. Thanks for joining us on Inspired to Greatness, please check back with us each and every week for fresh tips and new guests. Hey Everyone, I am VERY excited about this episode; which is the start of a 6 episode series. But FIRST: I want to apologize for a few little audio issues in the show, we are recording remotely, due to Covid-19, and the internet was not holding up its end of things today... it's not much, and it's only a few little spots, but I do apologize for the issues.
Emotional Intelligence: the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. According to Daniel Goleman , an American psychologist who helped to popularize emotional intelligence, there are five key elements to it: * Self-awareness. * Self-regulation. * Motivation. * Empathy. * Social skills. In this episode we will take a look at emotional intelligence overall... on the next 5 shows, we will discuss each of the 5 elements of Emotional Intelligence! “Use pain as a stepping stone, not a campground.” —- Alan Cohen “Whatever is begun in anger, ends in shame.” —- Benjamin Franklin “We are dangerous when we are not conscious of our responsibility for how we behave, think, and feel.” -— Marshall B. But the functions of intellect are insufficient without courage, love, friendship, compassion, and empathy.” -Dean Koontz A leader is a dealer in hope. -Napoleon Bonaparte Emotional intelligence trumps IQ all the time... you can learn skills and learn how to use tools... but it’s vastly more difficult to learn how to not be a jerk. In decades past it was the alpha male, they type a personality, the ultra-aggressive people that were successful... that’s just how it was, but in today’s society, having empathy, caring about others and their well being is what wins. I know the price of success: dedication, hard work and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen. ~ Frank Lloyd Wright, architect and writer
Talent is cheaper than table salt. There is a sense of pride in work completed. Imagine cleaning out your garage… that is often quite a job. It’s hard, usually takes a while… but when it’s done you stand there smiling with your hands on your hips looking at your clean garage. The best way to make a difference in this world is living your best life.... but why is no one living their best life? What do you WANT in life. Not just where you’d work or what you’d do. It’s no wonder no one is living their best life when so few people have DEFINED their best life. Go think about it... then define it.
* Where would you live?
* Where would you work?
* What would you drive?
* What would you do in your free time?
* How would your family life look?
* What COLOR would you pet be?
Get specific, then write it down... if you don’t write it down, it’s not real! The sooner you do this the easier it will be to get there... now, once you have the detailed vision for your best life: what are you willing to do to get there? You have a blueprint for the most perfect life you could want... what are you willing to do, how hard will you work, what obstacles can you over come by making a difference to get to the perfect life??!?
People may mock you... people may belittle your efforts or say your dreams are too big! But those people will NEVER make a difference... they are too scared to try or fail... or they are afraid to see YOU succeed when they won’t!
But stay the course... make a difference and build your dream... that’s how you will make a difference in this world. You will inspire your kids to love their dream. You will inspire your spouse, your friends, your family... you will inspire everyone you touch to make their dreams a reality... and imagine the difference that will make!!
The life you lead is your message to the world. Make sure it’s an inspiring message!

“Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” MLK Jr.
There are a lot of different kinds of faith. Faith in God or religion, faith in your friends and family, and faith in yourself. Some forms of faith are more important than others, but having and keeping your faith, especially during trying times is not only crucial but sometimes difficult.
Faith is critical to success in life and business… who would set out to build a business if they didn’t have faith that it would work out? Who would start anything if they didn’t think it would be successful.
“Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve. “ - Mary Kay Ash

Welcome to Inspired to Greatness... the show all about spreading inspiration, motivation, and being great!
“Don't ever settle for less than you deserve, because once you start to settle you always will.”
Don't rush and never settle. If it's meant to be, it will be.
If you don’t have the patience, self-control, or work ethic to wait for something better if you are too lazy or scared to wait on the opportunity you deserve, then you are settling and you are not going to live your best life. And once you settle for less, you are likely to continue settling and settling.
Never settle for less than you deserve. Demand the best, accept nothing less.
You have to set goals, know what you want, and work toward it. Never settle for less than what will make you happy and feed your passion… it’s like settling
What kind of message are you sending? Your children, family, friends… they all watch what you are doing, you are setting an example for the people around you and those who look up to you.
How you talk, work, dress, treat people, respond to stress, and how you SETTLE… all those things set an example for those watching. You OWE IT to your family, kids, and others besides YOURSELF to not settle.
What kind of lesson does it teach for your kids when you go to a miserable job that you hate, when you complain about work and how horrible it is, and you hate the workweek. What kind of future does that give your kids to look forward to… what message does that send your kids about work and career. How excited does that make them about working?
DO NOT SETTLE... you owe it to yourself and those you love!!!
